Another term has sprung upon us. This month has been a busy one for all of us here at Monkey Puzzle, with lots more children joining us and the nursery joining the world of twitter @MonkeyPuzzEden
We have been celebrating the Spring Equinox, raising money for Comic relief by dressing up and having a cake sale and showing our mummies how much we love them with creating cards and flowers.
A big thank you to everyone that donated money to a great cause as we managed to raise a whopping £141.45 for Comic Relief.
Our preschool children walked to our local market, bought some vegetables to use in play. They put them into soil and pretended to plant them and dig them up. Whilst exploring they came across a worm! The activity then changed to digging for worms. What can you find when digging?
Our baby room staff have created an amazing sensory board. They have used various materials, (such as sheer material, carpet sample, sand paper) and put them into photo frames
Christine, our chef has been making bread with our preschool children, they measured out the ingredients, poured them in and mixed them together. Once the bread had risen, the children took the bread home to cook. We also cooked some here which the children were able to try together to talk about the process from start to finish
The children also celebrated Mothers day by making cards from their handprints and writing a message inside.
